Only one candidate "Dave Wilson" is committed to keeping "our" money for "our" children.

Dave Wilson was born and raised in a small rural town in central Illinois.  His father was a coal miner and his mother was a homemaker.  He was one of four children.  After graduating from high school he moved to Houston in 1966 to attend the University of Houston.  After college he went to work for Honeywell as a systems analyst.  In the mid 1980’s Mr. Wilson started an electrical contracting company that he still operates today.  He is married and has two daughters and one son.  His son just finished a tour of duty in Afghanistan.  He is a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.

In 2004 Mr. Wilson started Texas Electrical Safety Association which is a non-profit school that teaches electrical training and safety classes.  The school has experienced incredible growth and had to move into a new facility 3 to accommodate its growing enrollment.  As a teacher and a dedicated professional Dave Wilson has served on many Boards and Committees, and served on the National Electrical Code Panel 18, which writes the national electrical code.

Dave  Wilson is uniquely qualified to be on the HCC Board of Trustees because of his business background and his commitment to education.
